I became a registered nurse because I wanted to have an impact on people's lives when it counts.
When people find themselves in the hospital it is often traumatic, unexpected and scary, and when they discharged to go home they often feel unaided. If I can decrease that pain and anxiety then I feel like I have done my job well. I genuinely care about the wellbeing of my patients and will not only be their nurse, but their advocate.
To me, expert care means taking a holistic approach to caring for each patient based on their individual needs.
I am passionate about what I do because I feel like I have the skill and ability to really help patients and families when they need it the most.
